Meaning:
pallavi: Primordial Lord! Is there an instance of anyone praying to you for happiness and peace and getting it?

anupallavi: O! sun that dispels the irremovable sins! O! emperor! Lotus eyed! Abode of virtues!

charaNam 1: Sita, your dear Sita, had to forsake the pleasures of the palace and live in the forest enduring numerous inconveniences. O! destroyer of Asuras and Surpanaka who was at the instance of expressing her love for you and had her nose ripped off.
