Meaning:
Damsels, let us join together and approach Him. Let us invite him to play with us. As Krishna is looking at us, let us enter the river and indulge in fun and frolic. Of course, we cannot be away from Krishna . Moreover, we cannot control and bring the boat to the banks. This Krishna is a prince, wearing ornaments studded with gems. Is not Krishna a small boy? He may be afraid to venture in the river. If somehow Yashoda comes to know of our intentions, we will invite her wrath and threats. Even though we may keep this adventure of ours secret, ultimately it may lead us to unpleasant comments. "Damsels" says Krishna , "if you are talking endlessly like this, the day will dawn. Enough of your discussions. Come, push this boat into the river." The Gopis remark: This one is a friend of Tyagaraja. He is not likely to listen to us.
